Hi all,

I have been consulting with Damien and Stephen about which direction we should be taking the site, these were the ideas that came up.

• Drop the "Groups" functionality, merge the existing Group forum posts etc into the general community forums
• Drop the "Jobs" functionality, which was barely used. Set up a Jobs forum in it's place.
• Drop the "Goals" forum, merge posts into other forums.
• Drop the "Latest site update" block from the front page, merge site news into the general front page news feed
• Set up a basic image gallery, though just to contain event photos, NZ game screenshots etc for the mean time
• Set up an "Events" forum category, containing forums for Global Game Jam and Auckland Game Developers meetup (Plus Wellington Game Developers meetups?)
• Set up a permanent page for the Global Game Jam, accessible from the menu

Basically I want to streamline the site, take out the unused functionality and make it more forum centric.

Edit - Further to this I would like to stress that none of these changes are irreversible. We can re-implement jobs, groups etc later if the demand is there.
